Kuppaimeni is a small herbal plant grows in road sides during rainy season. It is having dozens of nutritional and medicinal values as per ancient Siddha Texts. Kuppaimeni Leaves along with Stems and Roots are cut, dried well and then ground into very fine powder. It is then filtered to make it free from unground particles. It is being used by thousands of Indian since ancient days.

It is also called as Poonai Vanangi in Tamil. It is called as Indian Nettle in English, Khokali in Hindi, Kuppa Cheddu in Telugu, Kasameni in Kannada, Khajote or Pitari in Marathi. Its Botanical Name is Acalypha Indica.
