Kasthuri Manjal also called as Wild Turmeric in English is the most important grass plant in Indian Culture. It is having lot of medicinal, spiritual values in our Indian Culture. Its roots are collected, cut into pieces, dried well and ground into very fine powder. It is then filtered to make it free from unground particles. It is being used by our people since ancient days.

It is called as Wild Turmeric in English, Jangli Haldi in Hindi, Kadarasina in Kannada, Kasturi Pasupa or Adavipasupu in Telugu, Kattu Manjal in Malayalam. Its Botanical Name is Curcuma Aromatica.
